Maine Access Points

Maine Access Points (MAP) provides mobile outreach and state-wide delivery of naloxone and harm reduction supplies, overdose prevention education, peer support, and advocacy. They prioritize naloxone distribution to people who use drugs, and their close family, and friends.

Health Equity Alliance

Health Equity Alliance (HEAL) has Syringe Access Programs in Bangor, Belfast, Calais, Ellsworth, and Machias. They offer syringe exchange, risk reduction counseling, naloxone training and distribution, HIV and Hepatitis-C rapid testing, and community food pantries.

Next Step Needle Exchange

The Next Step Needle Exchange operated by MaineGeneral Health, is located in Augusta at 9 Green Street and 149 North Street in Waterville. They offer harm reduction supplies, syringe exchange, HIV and Hepatitis-C testing, overdose prevention education and naloxone distribution.

India Street Needle Exchange

Portland Public Health (PPH) operates the 103 India Street Needle Exchange Program. They also operate outreach at the corner of Oxford and Elm Streets. They offer harm reduction supplies, syringe exchange, HIV and Hepatitis-C testing, overdose prevention education and naloxone distribution.
